Indianapolis Jazz Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization which celebrates Indy's rich jazz heritage and promotes the future of jazz in Indianapolis through education and performance. Jazz is the American art form because it celebrates freedom, equality and individual expression within a collective effort. Indianapolis Jazz Foundation to present the 20th annual community-wide celebration, Indy Jazz Fest (#IJF20), to take place September 13-22, 2018. Indy Jazz Fest brings the best in local, regional and national jazz performances to Indianapolis. Indy Jazz Fest is a celebration of community and culture that showcases jazz music in a variety of venues across the city and will ultimately reach upwards of 35,000 people through a combination of performance, workshops, school concerts, master classes, and community partnerships.
