Head First Events is a Boston-based public and corporate entertainment company that started in 1988 as the Mystery Cafe, America’s Original Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Now, after 30+ years and thousands of public and corporate events later, the team behind Mystery Cafe has created so many great programs that we are bringing them here under one, virtual roof.
Mystery Cafe – We’re still going strong after 32 years with virtual events and we hope to get back to our weekly dinner shows in Boston at the Elephant & Castle Restaurant and seasonal Mansion Murder Mysteries at the MIT Endicott House in Dedham. Our traveling troupe is available locally and nationally to perform for corporate events, social events in restaurants, boats and even trains.
The Haunted Dinner Theater – Our family-friendly division started in Salem, MA – the Halloween Capital of the World – then spent 13 years in Williamsburg, VA. We returned to our roots in Salem in 2014 and now every fall our seasonal mystery featuring music, magic, and special effects and can be found at the Hawthorne Hotel and Finz Seafood.
Finnegan’s Wake – This classic seasonal show celebrates the fun and music of a real Irish Wake. The shows started in Randolph over 15 years ago and had a long run at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City 5 nights a week (twice with audiences larger than 500).
Meeting Escapes – The newest member of our innovative event offerings, the ‘escape the room’ genre is growing fast and we’ve taken the concept to the next level. We have numerous large group escape games designed to be done in any function space you choose, including Escape from Werewolf Village and Escape from Hotel California. We even offer a tablet-based escape game called Art Heist!
We really are a one-stop entertainment shop, so check out a public show or ask us about a private event. Head First is really head and shoulders above the rest.
