DiDi’s ( A unit of - Sisters in Solidarity which is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860) is a social enterprise social enterprise, based in Lucknow, that is run ‘by women’ and ‘for women’ to strengthening their collaborative efforts in fighting poverty, poor quality of life and low self esteem. It was established by Dr.Urvashi Sahni ( Founder / CEO ) under the aegis of Sister's In Solidarity.One of her first comrade-in - arms being Mrs.Veena Anand (Co Founder / Executive Director ) who is looking after this social enterprise. Our focus is hands-on vocational training and empowerment of under-served, marginalized and destitute women form extremely low income groups.We also aim at incubating entrepreneurial skills in our women by helping them and motivating them to set up their own ventures. Recently DiDi's has won the GSC 3S People's Choice Award 2015 announced by The Global Sourcing Council, New York, a non profit organisation that honours enterprises at the forefront of Sustainable & Socially Responsible Sourcing in categories of Empowered Women, Community Engagement , Employee Engagement, Innovative and Impact Sourcing. DiDi’s, has three areas of specialization – DiDi’s Foods, DiDi’s Creations, and DiDi’s Drivers. We train and coach our women to learn the above skills and then implement these skills by employing them within our organisation – in one of these three small self sustained social endeavours. Didi's empowers women to overcome the obstacles in their life due to illiteracy and poverty. These women not only earn but grow in experience with training and exposure in different fields. They are now helping their girl children to be educated, to build their future and protect their dreams. Your support is desirable for DiDi’s growth always.
